The Queen has spoken to the nation. The Prime Minister is undergoing tests. The world is changing; the world will stay the same.

Monarchs, Prime Ministers, all of us will come and go. The essence of life, of love, of community will continue.

Community at the moment is not the same as it was. We are community in other ways. The on-line community that has existed in many, now exists in the majority. Life means all that it ever did; in the words of Henry Scott Holland; "unbroken continuity".

Which is why we cannot panic, we mustn't let the essence of us disappear why so much of the peripherals change.

This week is Holy Week, the journey of Jesus to the cross. From that moment on life changed, and yet stayed the same. All life is one, look at the river which creates the sea, one yet different. The same yet changing.

In these moments where the world is fracturing we hold onto these principles of change and yet consistency. Hold onto love it is the one consistent we dare not lose sight of.
