The Characters in the Story John

Responses are from a liturgy used on Iona- Wildgoose Publications

Where Christ Walks We will follow

Where Christ stumbles We will stop

Where Christ cries We will listen

Where Christ suffers We will hurt When Christ dies

We will bow our heads in Sorrow

When Christ rises again in glory We will share his endless joy.

"I was so close to Jesus, so close that like his mother and the other women I could not run away when he was being crucified. I just had to be there. And while we were with him, he looked down at us and said- John behold your mother, mother behold your son. From that moment I cared for Mary as if she was my own mother."

Heavenly Lord, Jesus taught us that every could be our mother and brothers and sister, that we are called to treat all people as members of our own families. We should do this always not just in times that suit us.Amen
